My family is my greatest joy—I have 5 children and 16 grandchildren and enjoy sewing with or for them any chance I get. 

I have designed and sewn many blankets, quilts and baby accessories. My coworkers and family have been the main beneficiaries of my projects but I am hoping that other quilters will also enjoy the patterns I’ve created.

The Things that Go Unnoticed

There are many things I plan to talk about on this blog, but generally this will be an educational tool to discuss things that often go unnoticed.

If you are familiar with sewing on the diagonal you know that many quilters use a setting triangle at the end of the row. I rarely, if ever, use a setting triangle—to me it leaves a blank space but does not finish or complete the row—I like to make half blocks instead of the setting triangle.

My patterns give step by step instructions and come with detailed colored images.  If the pattern is considered a little difficult I have created video tutorials that are linked on my website to my youtube channel or you may go directly to the youtube channel and search Sew-N-Quilt.

Patterns

Some of my tutorials give an introduction to my products and many of the tutorials go step by step on how use the products. Other videos show how to sew that block or that section of the quilt that may be a little tricky. I am often teaching some of these techniques or quilts at retreats and I want every quilter to be successful at finishing that quilt so I often make a video specific to that quilt pattern.
