2” Drunkards Path Template Set
This template set comes with 4 pieces that are made out of 1/8” thick transparent yellow acrylic. There is the traditional drunkards path inner curve piece and the outer curve piece. Other pieces have been added to create even more quilts. There is an orange peel piece and a squaring template.
As I taught the drunkards path many found that the small ends on the inner curve piece wanted to move and there wasn’t much on the end to be able to pin it to the other piece. By increasing the width on the longer sides the block becomes more stable and there is more fabric allowing it to be pinned better.
The squaring template is used to square the block after the blocks are sewn together, and this allows a 1/4” seam to remain and the block to be square. The squaring template has other purposes as well. Making hour glass blocks and quarter square triangles work great using the squaring template to square up the block. The pattern available in my shop using this template is Tulip Table Runner.
